When we're focusing on our health and fitness, oftentimes we talk about portion control, dieting, and reducing our overall calorie intake. While creating a caloric deficit (consuming fewer calories than what you're burning) is the only way to lose body fat, this should be a short-term phase and not a long-term way of living. Throughout most of the year and during non-dieting phases it's important to be sure that you're eating an array of whole, nutritious foods and consuming enough calories to sustain you throughout each day. Here are some benefits:

1. You'll have more energy throughout the day!
2. Getting enough calories and nutrients help to support a strong immune system (especially important during Covid times!)
3. Healthy hair and skin :)
4. You'll crush your workouts, building muslce & stronger bones
5. Eating enough improves your memory, mood and happiness
